ARRIVING IN 2018 NVIDIA VOLTA GPU LINE UP WILL
FEATURE HIGH-PERFORMANCE GDDR6 MEMORY
Thanks to SK Hynix which has provided us with quick and competent NVIDIA graphics cards. These NVIDIA graphic cards are going to be the future because a company has proclaimed recently that it is in progress to mass produce GDDR6 DRAM chips for graphics cards that would be twice as fast as the previous generation standard and also utilizes less power.
However, these chips would be present in NVIDIA Volta graphics cards in 2018 and you will be able to experience the company’s Volta architecture. Once NVIDIA acquaints with its 16-nanometer FinFET-based Pascal architecture, there was a great efficiency and performance per watt ratio of the graphics processors that was based on Pascal without any precise alterations to their specifications and core clocks considerably. The total bandwidth is limited with the standard memory GDDR5X and GDDR5 features. You can learn more about the memory bandwidth height whose details has been press released as:
“SK Hynix Inc. (or ‘the Company’, www.skhynix.com) today introduced the world’s fastest 2Znm 8Gb(Gigabit) GDDR6(Graphics DDR6) DRAM. The product operates with an I/O data rate of 16Gbps (Gigabits per second) per pin, which is the industry’s fastest. With a forthcoming high-end graphics card of 384-bit I/Os, this DRAM processes up to 768GB(Gigabytes) of graphics data per second. SK Hynix has been planning to mass produce the product for a client to release high-end graphics card by early 2018 equipped with high-performance GDDR6 DRAMs.”
These replacements of GDDR5 with the GDDR5X excels the performance in much of the demanding games. As these graphics cards would be running at a lower voltage in case of GDDR5, resulting in a lowered power consumption as well. It is a tremendous news for the gamers who are waiting to play upcoming titles in 4k graphics.
